Hello! I am pleased to have you join me on my website. Here at The Acupuncture Clinic, it is our goal to help you to achieve health and wellness in a non-pharmaceutical way. I use Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes acupuncture, diet, exercise, and life-style counseling to treat imbalances. It is my personal philosophy that health care, like raising children, takes many approaches. There is no “magic bullet” or cure or fast tract to good health. Common sense, a sense of humor, and a willingness to take responsibility is the true key. Together, you and I will work to return relative balance in your life!

How did I come to this place? I graduated from Mankato State University in Mankato with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. With that, I have been at District One Hospital in Faribault for almost 20 years; I have been working in the Women’s Health Department for most of that time. It is such fun and a privilege to assist women in childbirth, and helping them and their families after.

Even tho it is fun to work in labor and delivery, I saw a large number of people who fell thru the healthcare cracks. Chronic pain, especially, did not respond well to conventional treatments. Eventually I obtained my Master’s degree in Acupuncture at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, and opened up a private practice in Faribault. I have been here since 2003, and enjoy seeing people get better. It is a truly humbling experience to see people stand up and not feel pain for the first time in months, or even years. There is no magic, just sound acupuncture principles.

My husband Terry helps me with the business side of things, specifically accounting and insurance submissions. You may have talked with him if you call in the mornings. I am very grateful for his very right-brain help! By the way, if you have golfing or hunting questions, he is the man to ask!

We have three adult children, two of whom are married. Our son Luke and his wife Melissa have Madison 11 years old, Beau almost 4years old, and Ellery, 7 months old. Our daughter and her husband AJ have Olivia, 2 years old. Our youngest, Meghan, is busy setting up her life as well.
